Health and Safety
At Gorilla, health and safety are non negotiable. Protecting the wellbeing of our workforce isn’t just a legal requirement; it’s an essential part of building a more engaged, productive and loyal team. Industry best practices show that safe workplaces improve employee engagement and retention, so our goal is to ensure that everyone who works with us goes home safe and healthy.
Our health and safety policy

Clear policy
& compliance
Gorilla maintains a formal Health & Safety Policy aligned with national laws and industry standards. Our policy forms part of our code of conduct and is communicated to all employees and associates. It is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure it reflects the latest regulations and best practices.

Risk assessment
& site inspections
Before deploying workers, our health and safety specialists assess the client worksite and specific job hazards, then recommend any necessary controls or extra training. This proactive approach helps minimise risk.

Training
& competence
Every worker undergoes general safety induction and job specific training prior to deployment. We use digital learning tools and hands on sessions to cover safe operating procedures and emergency response. For high risk environments, we partner with accredited training centres to provide specialised modules (e.g. working at heights, confined spaces, equipment operation).

Personal protective
equipment (PPE)
Gorilla supplies the appropriate PPE helmets, gloves, safety shoes, harnesses and more—and ensures that it is used correctly. PPE is inspected regularly and replaced whenever necessary.

Health
& wellbeing
Our commitment goes beyond preventing accidents. We provide health insurance, accommodation, transportation and meals for our sponsored workers, reducing the stress that can lead to incidents. We also promote mental wellbeing through support channels and by fostering a respectful workplace culture.

Incident response
& return to work
Even with preventative measures, accidents can occur. Gorilla has protocols for incident reporting, medical assistance and rehabilitation. If injuries happen, we support affected workers and help them transition back to suitable roles as quickly and safely as possible.
